Great holiday in great surroundings
The wonderful days at Gulfhof were a good rest.
The staff was more than friendly, you could snag well with them and they were mostly reachable. There were few exceptions.
The breakfast offered is not extravagant but if you are on holiday in the Gulfhof you should expect a good bourgeois breakfast, because that was it. There were selected products and they were good! My personal highlight was the rose apricot jam.
In the adjacent restaurant, the quality continued the same way!
Not only were the portions adequate (they were so large that no one needs to go afterwards nor to the golden seagull, quote landlady), they were also very high-quality and you could taste the artisanal skills. Besides, the ratio between price performance is more than good!
5 minutes from the water, nice rural setting and yet nice and quiet even when guests sit in the beer garden.
Now we come to the comments.
We have a snapshot of cleanliness, there can always be a bad day but basically we complain at a high level. Yes, they are cleaned daily. And yes it could be cleaner but it was enough.
The room was a bit old but, it is a Gulfhof the pictures we foresaw also kept what they promised.
Bottom line: For couples who want a good, attractively priced and beautifully located accommodation the right thing.
Families with children depend on the size of the children. Either they love it or just not but eating for a longer duration in the restaurant is always such a thing even if it is good and priced very well it goes just with 4 people but in the money.
I'm telling you, we'll be back. As a couple and to eat as a family (plan is already in place)

Great food or great local
We were with 3 people, the food was really great, everyone had a fish plate, service was great, interior design was great, food was perfect, I will go back again and the price was right

Very Poorly Maintained.
Hotel room was really old and very poorly maintained, not neat, not clean, cobwebs on the ceiling, toilet seat was loose, cleaning could be much better,
We put the towels in front of the window to get it dark. The roller blinds were off, but the brackets were still there. The curtains were not blackout, Mold in the Shower, No Ventilation, Frayed Towels, Bed was sagging and they had put a beam under it that I bumped into, resulting in a nail falling off. I reported this but nothing was done about it. We found no interest in the guests. Even for the low price, this is still way too expensive.
The breakfast was well prepared, the staff was friendly.
In any case, we will not come here again, and we certainly do not recommend it to our acquaintances either.

quariter in the old country house
..located directly on the Ems cycle path, behind the dike: evening walk to the sea possible, creatively converted former agricultural farm, good food, clean rooms, important: insect screens on the windows!, own garage for bicycles

Beautiful property and super-helpful staff. Great food with massive portions.
Outside area could be a little more clean (cobwebs) and the little dog was barking too much in the evening.
All in all though great stay, great food, great service.
