Relaxing
Just returned from a completely relaxing week at this hotel. We cannot fault the staff, Miguel in particular was incredibly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they truly do go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable. The view from our room was breathtaking. Watching the boats coming in and out of the harbour was lovely. The hotel is spotlessly clean and well maintained. Complete relaxation is there if you want it, but equally the hotel is close to transport links if you want to explore the island. Really sad to come home but thank you Artiem for a great holiday!!

High Quality food in a lovely hotel
Excellent views from the hotel across the harbour and a quiet location. Very friendly and professional staff in both the hotel and restaurant. A wide selection of high quality food. The hotel is quite tranquil and provides a pleasant base to explore Menorca. It has many Green credentials. Mahon is nearby and served by regular buses, a car is useful if you want to visit more remote areas.

Great staff, great restaurant and great hotel
We had a really wonderful stay here. We were allocated seaview rooms next door to each other which was perfect. All of the staff were amazing, friendly and extremely accommodating. They helped us with multiple requests and have recommendations into the local area. The restaurant and food was lovely with a great view of the sea. I am gluten free and vegetarian and the staff ensured they catered for me, even one night making me something that wasn’t out on the buffet. Definitely would recommend.

Return Visit
We stayed in Oct 2023 and immediately rebooked it for this year we like it had no beach, no Irish bars or English pubs i.e., quiet. Good location if you like walking; in one direction along the estuary coast in the other to Mahon about 40 minutes. Or, as I have seen other people put in their reviews, reachable by local bus or taxi.
The Artiems location is one of the best features as your balcony overlooks the estuary; boats and ships ranging from small yachts to ocean liners pass by right in front of you each day, much more interesting than the standard sea view.
We had room 111 which was just very convenient for reception and the restaurant. Mini bar and fridge included, the Wi-Fi works in the room. The bathroom had a great standalone monsoon shower with consistent temperature and flow. The tv only had BBC 1 and 2 but you generally do not go on holiday to watch television
The hotel has an older feel, it is certainly nothing to look at from outside and inside it is very modest in style. What it does have in its favour are the staff all of whom are friendly and helpful we could choose many to mention but the three we had the most interaction with were Lauren, Raul and Laurtarro who makes a very good flat white).
We had half board. The restaurant was the usual buffet style, although the choice of foods was smaller than most hotels of this standard, we found the quality was better than many so you always found something to like. Each evening there was generally only one meat option in the buffet section but they did put on a “live” cooking area where a chef was offering two meat and two fish dishes. Being near the end of season the restaurant was quiet so easy to choose food. Even when this hotel is fully booked it still seems quiet which is very enjoyable.
Evening entertainment was only on for two nights out of 10 but it is not a big thing on our list of needs anyway.
The price was very reasonable and the weather for October was very warm, just one afternoon when it rained. The hotel runs a very good eco friendly policy and something we really liked was the no smoking policy in all rooms and public areas something we wish other hotels would adopt as policy.
We will definitely be back again because we liked the quiet resort of Es Castell and the upmarket feel of the Artiem Carlos.

A gem of a hotel with incredible views, great freshly prepared food and wonderful staff
We’ve just spent a week at the Artiem Carlos and safe to say one of the best hotels we’ve stopped at in and around the Balearic Islands.
Located in a more residential area but once you loose yourself in this hotel you could be anywhere.
Views from the rooms and sunbeds by the pool are fantastic. The waterway in view is constantly changing with liners, ferries, tall ships, yachts & fishing vessels passing by.
The rooms are modern, bright & very comfortable. A sea view & pool room is a must and well worth the extra outlay.
Nothing is too much trouble and the staff on reception, manning the bar, waiting on at meal time, preparing your meals and generally chatting through the day are exceptional.
A credit to the hotel management team and are what really make your holiday here.
If a relax and a complete wind down are what you are looking for then this is the hotel for you
