All was great, accomdated with a good upgrade. Room had a lot of noticeably unprofessional repairs.

Terrible experience with management.
When we first got our room and checked in it was great other than the whole place smelling like cigarettes. Almost immediately the GM (Airyana Hays) was telling me I was on my second warning. My kids and I were headed out and they had stepped into the hallway 1-2 minutes before I came out (I was getting my 1 year old’s coat on). Within the 1-2 minutes the GM was at the door knocking and stating that the kids were unattended in the hallway waiting to be let in for 3 minutes. She also assumed that we had our dog because she heard me say, Blu, which is my daughter’s nickname. (I had told her upon checkin that our dog may be staying but we ended up having a friend dog sit to save $75). She did apologize after I had a conversation with her. There were many times walking through the hallways to our room that there was an awful smell (dog poop, must and just plain stinky odors). The pool’s chlorine levels were way too high and ended up leaving my kids with a cough and extremely red eyes. We did let management know and the issue was fixed. The rest of the stay was ok, maintenance and house keeping (especially Cheryl) were really friendly, helpful and I enjoyed many conversations with them.
Upon the second stretch of our stay we were met with discrimination and harassment. My partner and I both have our medical marijuana cards and are LEGALLY able to consume such products. We were polite and went away from the building to smoke. One day when coming in the GM asked if my partner had marijuana on him as he smelled like it. (We kept all products in our vehicle locked up to avoid bothering other guests). I’m sure he did have the scent on him as he had just smoked. This is no different than the many guests smoking cigarettes right outside of the front door (and even down the hall from the pool) which filled the main areas with a strong cigarette smell. Upon my partner asking the GM if we were doing something wrong she said that we were not. He asked for her managers information and policies on medical marijuana, to which she responded that it was her policy and that he was now harassing her. After this interaction the front desk staff were rude and dismissive. We had utilized the laundry services and the dryer ruined our clothing (Ripped shirts and sweatshirts).
After our official checkout I received an email with a document saying we were put on the do not rent list due to: illegal drug activity (not true), harassing demeanor when addressed by management (also not true, management didn’t like having to answer questions when probed about our supposed wrong doing), and lastly unattended children in hallways and lobby (also not true-I was always a few steps behind them). My son (7) would go out alone to throw our trash away, so house keeping and management did not have to do it (we were also told not to put it in the hallways). The rooms were good size and the room amenities were perfect for our extended stay. Management was awful and I would not recommend staying here as long as she is “running” the place.

At the time of your checking into your first reservation you had informed me that you may be bringing a dog along, however you were attempting to find petcare. I informed you that I would have to charge a pet fee should the animal be brought into the room per standard hotel policies. I witnessed your partner bring the dog into the room in which I informed you for a second time that I would need to charge should the animal be in the room. I provided a grace period of 1 hour of the dog being in the room as you found pet care, and I did not charge for the pet fee regardless of the animal being in our property without a signed pet policy on file.
Additionally, I do not see any notes in your reservations regarding issues with the pool, however we have reflected on the pool log records and all sources indicate that all chemical levels were within City Ordinance Range whilst the pools were in open operation. Should you ever have any issues during your stay always ensure to bring it to a staff members attention so that they can best assist you during your stay.

It was an okay room but oddly shaped. First room smelled like smoke so they put us in a different room. Hotel has some updates needed but overall good stay. Not much for breakfast.

When I searched hotels .com for PET friendly hotels in Fargo the Mainstay suites came up as pet friendly so I booked a room there. After I got all checked in and my daughter came in with our dog the clerk said “is that your dog?” I said yes, she said we have a $75 pet fee. NEVER again. Horrible breakfast, pet poop container outside was overflowing. Overall just a bad experience.

You could tell air conditioner had leaked, by the giant holes in the floor covered by carpet. Tripped in them.
The pillows were the size for Barbie dolls, rediculous. I didn’t even know they made pillows that small. Not great beds, pretty clean facility. Seriously though, the pillows, unreal how bad they are and small.
