A perfect place to retreat , relax and recharge .
We had been asked to change our booking by one day as the hotel had been booked out entirely on our chosen date. To compensate for this we were given a room upgrade to a suite and a bottle of champagne on arrival . We had booked to celebrate a milestone Birthday .
The room, Baleys was superb. It is a huge room with four poster bed, lounge area log burner , made up ready to light , bathroom has matching roll top baths .
The Spa is short stroll across the way , guests are encouraged to wander over in the bathrobes and slippers left in the rooms.
The spa is free to use for guests and has an outdoor steaming pool as well as heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room .
The beach is a short stroll away and the grounds of the hotel are nice to walk around and look at the other buildings.
The peacock in residence is evident and nice to track down .
We booked a package that included breakfast and dinner . Both meals were very good. The set menu was appealing and the breakfast offers plenty of choice.

Afternoon Tea
We only live a short walk from this hotel which enjoys a great location and certainly for residential stays pretty good reviews
however our experience for their afternoon tea was to say the least a more than a little underwhelming!
On arrival we waiting for a short while before someone asked if they could help when we explained we had booked afternoon tea we where shown in to a small room somewhat dark with a few chairs settee and a small table with a reserved sign on it the room although somewhat in character with the hotel itself was a little shabby, dirty window with broken payne looking out on to a lean too and tradesman’s kitchen entrance with staff going in and out, service was ok sandwich x 2 fresh and sconex2 with homemade jam with what appeared to be bought in fancy cakes a glass of English sparkling wine cost? £118 including service charge ! Can’t say anymore than won’t be going back
